Installation
of RiskyProject for Microsoft Project
During the installation RiskyProject will check if Microsoft Project 2003 or higher is installed using the system registry. RiskyProject is not integrated with earlier versions of Microsoft Project using toolbar. For early versions of Microsoft Project you would need to use files, generate by Microsoft Project (MPP, XML, or
MPX).
If Microsoft Project 2003 or higher are present, you will be prompted to add the toolbar and macro to Microsoft Project. Make sure that you close any instances of Microsoft Project 2003 or 2007 that are open. RiskyProject adds the toolbar and macro to last installed version of Microsoft Project. For example, if you installed Microsoft Project 2003 after Microsoft Project 2007, RiskyProject toolbar will be installed in Microsoft Project 2003.
RiskyProject will update Global.mpt file for Microsoft Project by adding the toolbar and macro. You may add or remove RiskyProject toolbar and macro without reinstalling RiskyProject at any moment:
To add RiskyProject toolbar and macro |
Open file SetupRP2003.mpp, located in RiskyProject directory, for example: c:\Program
Files\Intaver\RiskyProject 3.2 |
To remove RiskyProject toolbar and macro |
Open file RemoveRP2003.mpp, located in RiskyProject directory, for example: c:\Program
Files\Intaver\RiskyProject 3.2 |
Before adding or removing RiskyProject make sure that you have a Macro Security Settings as set to Medium. To update Macro Security Settings go to
Tools >Macro >Security or Tools >Options >Security >Macro Security in Microsoft Project.

Notes:
-
You must be an administrator to perform the installation.
-
You system must have Microsoft .NET framework 2.0 or later to installed to install RiskyProject for Project. If Microsoft .NET framework 2.0 is not installed, the RiskyProject installer will prompt you to download it from Microsoft web site and install.
-
RiskyProject installer will add the toolbar and macro only to current Global.MPT file. If you use multiple Global.MPT file you should add the macro and toolbar to the specific Global.MPT file manually as described above.
-
During the installation you may receive a message:
"Cannot save to 'Global.mpt'. This is a read-only file. You can view and copy information but you cannot save changes to this file under its current name. If you want to save changes to the file, choose Save As and rename the
file". Global.MPT is a template file which is used for Microsoft Project settings. This file should not be read only in order to install RiskyProject. If the message comes up click on Cancel. Then ensure that Global.MPT and the directory where Global.MPT is located have read-write
permissions. After this you should either repeat the installation or install macro and toolbar manually, as it is described above.
